Summary
Indian manufacturers such as Aurabindo, Reddy, Ranbaxy and others are getting on the shelves at the local pharmacies.
Analysis
I believe that Indian Pharmaceutical manufacturers products are becoming main stream and are seen more on pharmacy shelves than ever. Companies like Aurabindo that manufacture as many as 50 generics are known quite well to the pharmacy purchasing community. In addition, with payors, such as PBMs and health plans placing huge reimbursement pressures, I am seeing more retail pharmacy purchasers utilize Indian products. I think the landscape has been set. Cost/Price will dictate who will be dominant in the marketplace.
