IBM has taken up a unique initiative in training the abroad IT professionals and students in India .This can prove to be cost effective means of providing training on IBM technology by using Indian training arm. During economic slowdown such training are always best means to educate professionals and freshers.However it is not best known whether IBM is offering them career opportunities or not.

Training in India is always cost effective means of providing education to IT professionals. Such training also leverages from the off-shoring strengths of Indian partners in training space.
IBM must be definitely looking at educating the IT professionals in newer technology such as storage,cloud computing,platform,software and infrastructure as services so that when market demand picks -up it will be easy to make use of IBM certified resources quickly. Such moves are always seen as market preparedness to future opportunities.
IBM has already expanded R&D base in India and must be looking at quick dissipation of newer technology knowledge to abroad professionals in their R&D centre so that they could be available in their countries at the later course of time when implementation of such technology becomes top priority in every country.
Education centres in India are off-late very effective and provides host of facilities in terms of well equipped audio-visual training centres with good connectivity.
I guess based on the success of first few batches IBM may be trying to establish its credibility in training and developments services at off-shore which are economical,doable and take more load of training professionals. This move will definitely provide advantage of preliminarily trained resources to IBM and to take forwards its technology implementation to next level.
