Summary

I realize this is my third analysis regarding the Cross-Border Agenda, but what am I missing?

Analysis

As council members, whether you agree with me or disagree with me, we can all except the fact that our economy is bleak.

We can all agree that the transportation industries overall operating expenses have sky rocketed.

We can all agree that due to a lack of freight movement, more and more professional drivers are leaving the transportation industry, due to a lack of a livable wage, pertaining to their weekly or bi-weekly payroll.

Here comes NAFTA, supporters they're jumping on the bandwagon, stating we need more competition. Proponents are saying, unsafe trucks, and we should only have Americans citizens reaping the profits on our American highways.

Didn't the Americans tax payers pay for these highways? Shouldn't they reap the profits from them.

Let's break this issue down as businessmen and women. Take the cause and effect rule.

We have an industry that at best is floundering. Employers are laying off a minimal of four thousand employees per week, and we also have of very large U.S.  deficit.

Now as a supporter of NAFTA, what your  saying to the American Workers are, unemployment it's not that bad.

If we have a lack of freight due to a bleak economy, then by adding more competition, then the effect will be? More laid off American Workers.

What truly befuddles me is this, as American citizens we stand by and allow are economy to be destroyed, and then jump on the bandwagon that will ultimately destroy it.

Just because God has given us the ability for success, we should never forget the American citizens who struggle financially everyday, just to make a mediocre living.
