Summary

How has President Obama delivered the core message in clean energy policy? How does the clean energy sector transform the stage for investment communities?

Analysis

In a recent interview with the CEO and founder of Epistar in Taiwan, the second largest LED capacity provider in the world next to Nichia in Japan, I have accessed to the emerging epitaxial technology and thermal solution innovation that drive LED into commercial adoptions in various areas, such as street lighting and backlighting for LCD display.

President Obama's roundtable meeting has profoundly magnified the LED revolution in a transformational process that obsoletes the incandescent light bulb and traditional CCFL backlight through the use of environmentally friendly LED lighting. All the sudden, a new age of illumination has become a political focus that gains momentum for the interactive stage where political centers and technology investors are decently delighted.

Total cost of ownership will be a critical issue that determines how fast the emerging technologies turn to be popular. Clean energy science could be useless, if it is like storing books on shelf, without continued effort that drives development in cost reduction. Enlarged scale of production is one thing, low-cost solution for heat dissipation is another. The technological innovation will contribute to escalation of buying power in the clean lighting sector in the near future; a new lifestyle is coming!

Clean energy will then turn to be green when used in house and neighborhood.
