Harrah's does have a problem
Analysis: Harrahs has a problem. Here is what it is, they control 350 acres which encompass, Harrahs, the Flamingo, the Barbary Coast , O'Sheas and the Imperial Palace on the same side of the street. So what does harrahs do if they are truly interested in a "Mega Resort" on this acreage. The Flamingo and Harrahs easily produce 220 million ebitda and in addition, the flamingo has a huge Time Share Building in the back of their property. I would agree to knock down the other 3 properties yesterday however they are not contiguous and therfore it creates a convoluted design which could cause Harrahs problems. My second point is that harrahs had a minor purge in their management team prior to their agreeing to go private. What does Gary Loveman know about building a mega resort. My answer would be, look and see where he has ever done this. Simple answer is NEVER! So be careful of what you wish for Harrahs stockholders, it could end up being budget overruns and an unfulfilling "Mega resort"
