Analysis

Great news, and great advancement!
We know of the current HPV vaccine available in the US and others currently;  with this being approved/available in Japan, our fight against cervical cancer "goes global"
As we know there are >20 HPV strains that can and do infect.  However, the 11, 16, 18 are the most commonly associated with cervical cancer / genital warts....thus these will be the most targeted strains for vaccines.
If you read more on the subject you will find that men/boys are recommended to get the vaccine as well now...for prevention of genital warts, and to help stop the spread of the cervical CA strains.
