Implications: In the Plastic Surgery literature wound care via home monitoring is advanced enough to change outcomes.  See Murphy, Bain et al in the Annals of Plastic Surgery June 2005. Home telemonitoring is good for certain problems, that require regular monitoring.  It has been shown to be equivalent to physical exam if a standard database is used and likely to reduce costs.  There are now CPT codes for it and eventually they will be paid.

Analysis: This will likely expand the home nursing market.
