Currently Avastin + chemo is the standard in MCRC 1st line. This will be used in those who are unable to tolerate Avastin (coronary artery disease, stokes, vasculopaths), but in patients with normal, "wild type" K-RAS it will not move into first line unless improved efficacy is shown in a direct comparison.
SO before anointing Erbitux the drug of choice, let's await the data.
