DOJ Joining Suit against OH MDs and Hospital
Analysis: In all likelihood the DOJ reviewed the materials and determined that a crime or crimes were committed. These "whistle-blower" suits, are often brought with the hopes that the DOJ will intervene. The DOJ does not always take these cases on after they have reviewed the materials. Their joining in will place much greater pressure on the facilities and the physicians and could lead to civil or criminal penalties. The hospital and physician(s) will be under more pressure to come to a settlement instead of risking a trial.
