Cytochroma Completes Enrollment In Phase II Psoriasis Trial | www.pipelinereview.com

Implications: This product by Cytochroma is a vitamin D analog which is similar to Dovonex, a product that has been used for 13 years. Its efficacy is modest at best. This product may, repeat may be better, because it activates the vitamin D pathway, and inhibits catabolism of Vitamin D. Whether this makes the product more effective is unclear. The results of the trial are critical.
Analysis: I think that it will be as good / slightly better than Dovonex, the current Vitamin D analog. This product has modest benefit in psoriasis. It is best used with a topical steroid.
