Summary

Now Android based handsets and Motorazr in past, Motorola's handset strategy calls for overall.

Analysis

In my view, they are getting the equation right with Android phone but on the low segment (counts for 70% sale here in India) they have yet to come out with superlative value preposition (vis a vis offering from competitors like LG/Samsung and now chinese players like HTC etc.) beside sleek Ads..

Also the shelf visibility, retail presence is not upto par thus distribution channel may require a much needed need a review.

In addition, how they address the grey market (piracy/fake chinese clones) is also to be seen e.g. have they looked at splitting the handset production base, by giving some production lines (for selective models) to upcoming manufacturing and important market like India rather than over relying on China production.
