Summary
Most startup companies never mature or end with the same executive teams.
Analysis
It is not unusual for a carrier that has started up to transition to a new management team. In the case of Clearwire the company has sort of restarted itself one or two times over the course of its life. I realize that many investors are now speculating about why Bill Morrow is making the changes. There are many ways to look at this. The first one that comes to mind to many investors is that the company is being prepped for a sale. However, when you look at Clearwire there is an insufficient asset base for a buyer to acquire the company, hence this daydream is off the table.
No matter what folks think Clearwire investors are not going to drop wads of cash on this company unless they all can be assured the network can be designed and deployed properly.
What I believe Bill Morrow is doing is getting a team in place that can execute this new network quickly. That is about the size of it.
