Analysis: As this article points out, New York has recognized that obesity is one of the major issues facing its citizens. They are making moves to make a difference in peoples lives. While this is a small change, it is the beginnning. The key to changing the health care system and costs in the US and around the world is to move the focus away from a "sick care system" to one of Prevention. The Milken study has shown that we can save $1 trillion per year by 2023 if we implement preventive services and chronic care management for 7 conditions.
