Summary

Mr. Schulz your analysis offers some sound information, but does monopolization really help in any business sector?

Analysis

A business men and women, we all believe that only the strong will  survive. If we believe that monopolization in any business sector will help pertaining to rates , then what about competition.

Whenever price fixing occurs, it then eliminates any competitive edge to the smaller mom and pop carriers, not to mention the  smaller based shippers.

Why do we need the smaller based companies? To keep the larger conglomerates honest. Let's take this scenario, if their were only  three retail chains in the U.S. and their rates were identical, then how would you know your paying a competitive rate for your merchandize?

The same holds true for transportation rates. As a country we must all  fight to insure that  competition remains, why? Competitiveness.

Thank You,
Tony Sottile
