Implications: Some don't believe corruption is rife in America's most important institutions, including business and government.  Here's one reason why?

Analysis: There is a lot being written about ethics both in government and in industry.  Most Americans dismiss it.  After all it's foreign businesses and dictators that stash ill gotten cash in Swiss bank accounts, right?

But there is a case to made that many of our institutions have become corrupt.  Granted, its American corruption.  By that I mean, it fits neatly within our brand of capitalism and democracy.  But, its exactly because of our easilyness with it, that it flourishes.

Another author put it best about 35 years ago when he said, "Treason doth nerver prosper, for when it does, None Dare Call it Treason."
