Dermal fillers are substances that can be injected into the skin (various levels of the dermis) of the face primarily to restore the body’s aged, atrophied, or diminished collagen as a result of both aging and solar damage. These substances can smooth away or soften lines and wrinkles as well as add volume to lips and other areas of atrophy.
