The satellite industry is increasingly moving toward SOTM (Satellite On The Move). Future increasing emphasis will be on SOTM terminals allowing link acquisition and connection in motion on ground vehicles and airborne vehicles for both military and commercial vehicles and aircraft. Size will be critical on airborne and Earth SOTM platforms so that small phased array antennas will be widely utilized.
