A dry or liquid cargo carrying platform designed to be attached to like units to form a "tow" that is pushed by a towboat for moving cargo on inland and coastal waterways. Dry barges are classed as either "covered" or "open." "Standard" dry barges are 175'x26', "Stumbo" dry barges are 195'x26', and "Jumbo" dry barges are 195' or 200'x35'. Liquid barges are classed as either small (less than 10,000 bbl) or Jumbo (10,001 to 20,000 bbl).
