- Definition: GPS Anti-Jam
-
Since GPS NAVSTAR signals located in MEO satellites 20,000 miles away use transmitters that are only 20 watts ERP, the signals received on Earth and in aircraft are extremely weak and vulnerable to interference and intentional jamming. GPS anti-jamming techniques have been developed to reduce the effects of jamming of GPS signals. These solutions are both antenna-based and processing-based as well as combinations.
