Definition: Food Service Equipment

Primarily all types of heavy-duty commercial equipment in restaurant kitchens used for cooking, preparation, food holding, refrigeration storage, and handling and serving food. The NAFEM (National Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers) is a well-known trade association of approximately 600 food-service equipment and supplies manufacturers that provide these products.
