Definition: Food-Service Distributors

A food-service distributor is a wholesaler who sells food and related supplies to businesses that prepare “ready to eat” food. These businesses can be restaurants of all sorts (Fast Food, Quick Serve, or Sit Down) or they may be institutions like schools, hospitals, or prisons.
