The developed countries have been reeling under the impact of recession and there are indications that recovery is in sight in these countries. The economic policy changes are expected as economies reap the benefits of stimuli and the costs involved in terms of inflationary expectations. Of course, faster recovery in developing countries like China and India is helping them through trade and investment linkages. Nevertheless, monetary policy initiatives will be needed.
