The lack of a standstill agreement on Dubai's World's debts demonstrates the scale of the problem With over 97 creditor banks the lack of agreement casts a shadow over the overall restructuring process. Recourse under the reorganization plan enacted in December could be an increasing possibility increasing the pressure on the emirate to sell of its trophy assets. Global concerns on sovereign debt \also look sensitive to any further systemic shocks.

Shorts ran for cover on the close. The market is trading off of the British Pound. The Pound came off it's lows and this gave a boost to the market. The market discounted unemployment. Too many people are not even being counted now. The market is very wary of Europe.
