Energy Brainpool has been founded in 2003 in Berlin, Germany. Products: daily price forecast, analysis and consulting services for the European electricity and carbon market. Forecasting model The first step in developing a forecasting model have been made in 2000 based on OTC prices for Germany. In 2000 this model has been adapted to the first power exchange prices. In 2001 and 2002 the model has been developed to market maturity and in 2002 an additional Poisson process has been integrated to cover better some exogenous price influences. The economic saving based on this model was in the testing 1,10 EUR/MWh.
