Bourse Consult was founded in 2002 by two former exchange CEOs, Lynton Jones (formerly of Nasdaq International, The International Petroleum Exchange and Jiway, amongst others) and Steffen Schubert (formerly of Easdaq and the Munich Stock Exchange). It specialises in providing a diverse range of strategic consultancy services related to the securities markets. Steffen Schubert stepped down from the Group in late 2003 to take on the full-time position of Chief Executive of the Dubai International Financial Exchange. In 2005 two additional former CEOs joined the group, Peter Cox, former CEO of the OM London Exchange, and Hugh Simpson, former CEO of Crest. In 2007 John Mackeonis, a well known former securities regulator, joined the consultancy.
