When IPTV and other bandwidth demanding applications will knock on the door- the solution is there to implement.
FTTH gets different penetration speeds depending on the country and policy...

Combining TV and PC was the ultimate dream of consumers. IPTV has proved that it's possible and now is time to harvest the fruits.
Gartner's analysis should not come as a surprise since the platforms are ready and just regulations and rights are impeding the process.

Troubled Sprint that puts all its bets on WiMAX has first to prove that LTE is not generating a real threat. Ciena proved that it has a suitable solution and it will benefit first. However, Sprint's success is heavily dependent on the question whether G4 WiMax mobile will run.

Nortel- Will They Stay in the Game?

Nortel's situation is not easy. Actually, it is not easy since the bubble exploded in late 2000.
The decision to sell the Metro business will shave more revenue growth generators and it must fulfill the gap with fresh products.
The share decline is not just due to performance and market mood- it's more like a punishment and a big question mark- Are you still in the game?

The launch of the long awaited Android based cellular phone by Google comes in the middle of the financial crisis. Thus , not having the enough attention as it was probably expecting.
However, on top of that, Google chose T-Mobile as its carrier , and we know that consumer selects carrier first and then the handset itself.
