The Oshkosh Corporation(OSK) has been on a rapid growth pattern over the past year. In 2009' the company was chosen over Navistar and BAE to build a more maneuverable variant of the military's Mine Resistant Ambush Protected trucks (MRAP) for troops in Afghanistan. Oshkosh is patiently awaiting a final decision on the part of the Army & GAO which recommended in a December, 2009' ruling that the U.S. Army reevaluate its decision in August, 2009' to award Oshkosh Corp. (OSK) the contract.

AGR Petroleum Services will begin a £2 million exploratory campaign in the North Falkland basin. Desire Petroleum and Rockhopper Exploration are the operators for this six well project. Desire has 4 prospects and Rockhopper has 2. AGR is in talks with a third operator as well. The first well will be spudded around the middle of February with the 3rd generation semisubmersible Ocean Guardian owned by Diamond Offshore Drilling Company. The campaign will last 5 months depending on weather.

The Central Asia-China gas pipeline which is a US$7.3bn project, 1,833 km long with 188 km going through Turkmenistan, 530 from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan, and 1,115 km from Kazakhstan to China has been inaugurated on the 14th December.The West-East Gas Pipeline crossing China is over 4,500 km long, making of the joint pipelines the longest in the world. With this Turkmenistan, so far dependent on Gazprom for 70% of its export of natural gas has now better options.
