The EC and Ryanair are at constant loggerheads over the 3 main issues of fare displays, Subsidies from cities wanting service and of course the Aer Lingus acquisition. Given the economic climate and benefits that air transportation provides, the EC should perhaps consider rethinking at least one of these policies. the issue of stimulus packages to entice airlines to fly to particular airports.

First, the survey was conducted among a market segment most likely to be able to afford to travel abroad and most likely to have the desire to do so. The survey is not representative of the US populations as a whole. Equally important, the relatively low cost destinations of Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean qualified as a trip abroad. These destinations may benefit by attracting travelers...
