With all of the past weeks bailouts, buyouts, federal government purchases and bankruptcies', it was not surprising to hear that Congress is expected to approve a $25 billion loan package for the Detroit Three. However, there are a lot of "ifs" that will have to happen before Detroit is out of the woods.

In regards to the article, I believe Honda is feeling pressure from GM. It is a fact that Honda's vehicles built in the US are produced at factories that may not have Union workers. I believe Honda is feeling the same pressures as our Big 3!

Seems that the only way most companies can cope with business being off is to cut payroll. Laying off good staff member is not the way to go. There are other measures that can be worked out. How much will these reduced staff actually help IGT, and is it premature to think that there is a break in the gloom and doom coming in 2009?
