The pool of potential customers likely to choose Clearwire’s WiMax network will likely be severely limited by the availability of alternative broadband wireless services that already offer wide coverage, as well as the characteristics of many of their demands and expectations which WiMax-based services will not be able to satisfy competitively for several more years at best.

Nuance has just sued a startup (Vlingo) founded by one of it's own founders. While Nuance has instigated a number of patent-infringement lawsuits over the years, they have never won a case. In combination with Nuance's history of acquisitions and lack of strong innovation, this could mean that Nuance is ripe to lose market share in the speech recognition markets.
