Walter Mitchell

Walter Mitchell is Principal of Mitchell Consulting Group (MCG). MCG provides rigorous research, analysis, and advisory services for stakeholders in the US and international maritime sectors. Mr. Mitchell has more than 30 years of experience in these sectors working for clients that include industrial shippers and charterers, shipowners, logistics companies and investor groups active in the oil, power generation, chemicals, mining and minerals, steel, forest products, basic raw materials, offshore and maritime investment and finance organizations. Prior to forming MCG in 1995, he worked at BHP-Billiton in San Francisco and Jones Bardelmeier Company in Nassau, Bahamas. Mr. Mitchell holds a BS from the US Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY and did graduate work at UC Berkeley. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, London; is widely published in the maritime field; and is active on several boards. (This is me - Update Profile)
