Toshiaki Katsushima

Toshiaki Katsushima has over forty years of experience in public accounting, auditing, and taxation in the Tokyo and Baltimore offices of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, where he was a partner from 1981 - 2004. Since 2005, he has been an audit committee member of Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation. In addition, Toshiaki is currently a non-full time statutory auditor for the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Sky Perfect-JSAT Corporation, and Avex Group Holdings Inc., all publicly-traded companies. He is also a non-full time statutory auditor of Yamaguchi University, National University Corporation. He was a member of the Governance Committee for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (1999-2001), the senior executive managing partner for the Tohmatsu & Co. Management Board (1993-2001), and a member of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu World Tax Committee (1989-1998). His activities with the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA) include the following: Executive Director (1985-1987), Director (1987-1989), Technical Advisor for the Board of International Accounting Standards Committee (1985-1990), and Chairman of the Minato Chapter of the JICPA (1989-1992). He was a guest Professor at the Graduate School of Finance, Accounting & Law at Waseda University, one of the most prestigious private universities in Japan (2005 - 2007).
