Tom Ferrara is Chief Executive Officer of FF Ventures, an incubator and consultancy firm, where he has worked since May 2008. He is the Owner of the For profit and Career Education Industry Blog and the Creator of the LinkedIn networking group For Profit Education. Previously, Mr. Ferrara was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Cunet, an advertising and professional services firm serving the For Profit post secondary education providers. Cunet services campus and online schools. The majority are for profit colleges including Career Education, University of Phoenix, Corinthian, Devry, and Chubb, and some traditional non profit public institutions. He consults with them on marketing, market issues, growth strategies, admissions process improvements, and improving retention and conversion rates. Until November 2003, Mr. Ferrara served as the Vice President of Admissions and Marketing with Career Education Corporation. (This is me - Update Profile)

All student interests and motivations are not at all the same, you need to understand their motivations to understand the market. You need to not think about yourself here as you are NOT the typical student growing to these schools.

The demographics within the US are changing. The college seeking individuals seek have different motives. The means to an ends decision favors for profits
