Tim Carmichael

Tim Carmichael is VP Engineering of SPAD Group, a private consulting firm. He is an authority in the design, development, and application of integrated circuits across all phases of microelectronic products. Over the last 30+ years he has worked on the design and development of custom IC’s, ASIC's, ASSP's, and SoC’s for computers, data storage, video, communications and many other product areas. He has held senior engineering positions with National Semiconductor, LSI Logic, Adaptec, Flextronics Semiconductors, ITT, Motorola, and several startup companies in Silicon Valley. He holds several patents in the area of advanced integrated circuit architectures with applications in the ultra deep submicron (UDSM) manufacturing of integrated circuits. He also holds an advanced degree in the design of fault tolerant computers. (This is me - Update Profile)
