Thomas Rihm, PhD, is Partner with the commercial law firm of Thouvenin Rechtsanwalte in Zürich, Switzerland. He specializes in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, supply distribution, financing and labor, as well as in other commercial law areas, and advising mostly foreign corporate clients investing in Switzerland. Dr. Rihm also advises clients on banking and securities law, including clients in connection with investigations and requests made by the Swiss Federal Banking Commission. Previously, he was Partner in the Corporate Law Group at Bill, Isenegger & Ackermann in Zurich. Dr. Rihm regularly publishes on corporate law including “Private capital gains,” “Competition Law Aspects of Distributorship Agreements,” “Going Private in Switzerland,” “Swiss Aspects of M&A Share Transactions,” “Employment Law Aspects of Restructurings,” and “New Income Taxation of Individuals and Business in Switzerland.” Dr. Rihm became Doctor of Jurisprudence at the University of Basel with a doctoral thesis on subordinated loans and is a Certified Public Accountant.
