Thomas O'Brien is the Founder and President of Digital Amplifier Company, designing and producing Class D digital amplifier products based on proprietary patented technology. He has over 18 years experience in the design of analog/digital audio, consumer apps, and industrial applications. He holds six patents, three patents in the digital amplifier field, and received the very first Dolby Certification for a PC software based DVD player. He is experienced in digital audio coding: Dolby, DTS, SRS, MP3; and the associated licensing of these technologies. Previously, he co-founded Sycom Technologies (later called Digital5), where he was responsible for producing personal digital voice recorders. He is a member of IEEE and AES.
