Council Member Biography

Steve Belmonte is the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Founder of Hospitality Solutions, a consulting company responsible for negotiations of hundreds of franchise agreements and termination claims. He has more than 35 years of experience in the hotel industry. He was the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Lexington Collection of Hotels and Resorts, Vantage Hospitalities upscale brand from 2006 to February 2009. Mr. Belmonte served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Ramada Hotels, as well as Executive Vice President of Cendant Hotel Division, where he remained for over a decade. He was also the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Founder of the Equity Hotel Corporation. Mr. Belmonte was the former Chairman of the American Hotel and Lodging Foundation. He is a certified Hotel Administrator with experience in owning, managing, building, and franchising. He consults many investment firms and is familiar with all aspects of the lodging industry.
