Steve Newton

Steve Newton is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mattress Discounters (MDC), one of the largest specialty sleep retailers in the US with 150 stores, where he has been working since 2000. Mr. Newton leads the entire operation and is responsible for developing a new store sales process, advertising strategy, training plan, and store design to maximize unit sales generation. He is a career retailer with more than 20 years of experience in every type of retail from specialist stores to superstores in both the US and UK. He is also a member of many professional organizations such as NRF, ICSC, and NACD. Previously, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of WH Smith USA, operating bookstores, music stores, and hotel and airport stores. (This is me - Update Profile)
