Steve Bayless is the Principal of Bayless Consulting, a firm providing consulting services in the chemicals industry. He has undertaken multiple assignments in teaching and implementing best practice work processes at manufacturing firms facing massive restructuring and downsizing to reduce costs and improve operating efficiencies. Mr. Bayless has over 40 years of experience in petrochemicals, plastics and resins, fabricated plastics, specialty chemicals, catalysts, and carbon black. He has also held executive positions with W.R. Grace, Westlake Chemical, Morton Thiokol, and Gulf Oil Chemicals Company. Prior to his current business, Mr. Bayless was the Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Technology at Continental Carbon Company, a $200M revenue manufacturer of furnace carbon black in the U.S. and India.
