Stephen C. Fotis is a Partner at Van Ness Feldman in Washington, DC. Mr. Fotis specializes in environmental law and regulation. His practice focuses on the legislative, regulatory, permitting, transactional work, and administrative litigation related to Clean Air Act and other federal environmental laws. Other areas of environmental representation include global climate change, the Clean Water Act, Superfund, and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. Over the years, Mr. Fotis has provided legal counsel on environmental issues to numerous trade associations for the electric power and automotive industries, as well as major companies for these and other industry sectors. Specifically, he has represented electric utilities, independent power producers, automobile manufacturers, petroleum refineries, governmental entities, and clients in a variety of other industries.
