Steen Kroyer

Steen Kroyer is an Independent Consultant in Copenhagen, Denmark. He retired in September 2006 as the President and Chairman of AstraZeneca (AZ) China and Hong Kong. As the President and Chairman for over five years, Mr. Kroyer was responsible for developing the AZ business from sales of 80 million USD in 2001 and 270 million USD in 2005, and expanding the organization from 700 in 2002 to over 2500 until the time of his resignation. His responsibilities ranged from manufacturing operations in Wuxi and Hong Kong to R&D investment strategy and industry and government relations. Mr. Kroyer has spent the past 35 years in the international pharmaceutical industry, including being the President of AZ Norway, President of AZ Poland, President of AZ South Africa, Director of SADC Markets, and many other positions around the world. He has sat on the Executive Committee of RDPAC in China from 2004 to 2006 and was a member of the Advisory Council of EUCC. (This is me - Update Profile)
