Sorin Sorescu, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Finance at Texas A&M University, where he holds the Bookman Research Professorship. He is also Founding Partner in the Galiber Group, an equity long-short hedge fund. Dr. Sorescu research interests focus on predictability in stock returns, active portfolio management, risk management, and short interest. Prior to joining Texas A&M, Dr. Sorescu served as an Assistant Professor of Finance at University of Houston. His research has appeared in the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking. Dr. Sorescu has also served as expert witness for the SEC and testified in federal court on a case related to stock market manipulations. (This is me - Update Profile)
