Soon Heng Lim is an independent consultant in Singapore providing consulting services on the shipbuilding industry in the Asia Pacific region, particularly Japan, Korea, China and Singapore. Most recently, he was the Deputy Project Director with Keppel in Doha for the construction of a shipyard in the Qatar. The shipyard is a joint-venture between Keppel & Qatar Gas Transportation Company. Mr. Lim has more than 20 years of experience in the development and redevelopment of shipyards. He also has experience in conducting market research, financial feasibility studies, making shipyard layout, planning and construction, providing shipyard production equipment advice, preparing marine infrastructure master plan, managing facility optimization, and preparing redevelopment proposal for old shipyard. Mr. Lim has visited many shipyards in Japan, Germany, United Kingdom and China, and has papers published in the UK on the subject. (This is me - Update Profile)
