Simon Begemann

Simon Begemann is an Independent (Self Employed) LED-Lighting business development consultant. He is the chief advisor for the European Lighting Research Center being established at Eindhoven University, where he was Lighting Professor till 1-1-2008. From 1980 till 2002 he was Senior Vice President at Philips Lighting, responsible for developing new business opportunities for existing technologies in new applications and new technologies. He is the Founder of LumiLeds Lighting, a joint venture between Agilent and Philips Lighting. He specializes in LED based Solid State Lighting. Prior, he was the Founder of Ph.Lighting Electronics. He is also the Founder of the Euro Lamp Co's lobby, EU Brussels. He was also a member of the Directors Council of The Lighting Research Center (LRC) at Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute at Troy, New York. He has expertise in legislation concerning lighting, and the Lamp Industry's efforts for replacement of inefficient lamps. (This is me - Update Profile)
