Ms. Shannon Angielski

Council Member Biography

Shannon Angielski is a Senior Director, Governmental Issues at Van Ness Feldman in Washington, DC. She provides clients with policy advice on energy and environmental issues with a particular focus on clean energy solutions for electric power generation. Her representations include developing strategies to address climate change and to advance carbon capture and storage technologies. Ms. Angielski also advises clients on federal appropriations initiatives and administrative programs associated with these and other energy policy matters. As an Associate Director of the Coal Utilization Research Council, Ms. Angielski works with Congress, the Administration, and industry to develop innovative programs and policies designed to increase energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions from fossil fueled power generation. She has developed and supported coalition initiatives and designed legislative proposals that have led to the development of federal tax incentives, research and development programs, and authorizations for the development of clean energy programs.
