Shane Needham, PhD

Shane Needham, PhD, is the Laboratory Director at Alturas Analytics. He has over 16 years of experience in analytical laboratories. Dr. Needham has over 18 years of analytical laboratory experience in the pharmaceutical industry and CRO industry using HPLC and MS. He previously worked for Pfizer before going to the CRO, Alturas Analytics, Inc. He teaches LC/MS courses at the international level. Dr. Needham has published over 80 publications in the area of HPLC and MS including toxicology and clinical and discovery applications. He is a member of the American Chemical Society, American Society of Mass Spectrometry, American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, and International Society for the Study of Xenobiotics. Dr. Needham has understanding of the business and budgets of CRO’s and pharmaceutical companies. He also has experience in operating research budgets and controlling purchases.
