Scott Witt

Scott Witt is the State Rail and Marine Director for the Washington State Department of Transportation. Mr. Witt is responsible for directing freight and passenger operations and developing rail and marine strategies and policies for the State. He has more than 30 years of experience in managing transportation and logistics operations in industrial and transportation service companies. Mr. Witt also has experience in managing ocean chartering and stevedoring, rail equipment and rail shipment, Truck Load (TL), Less than Truck Load (LTL), airfreight, and intermodal operations. He has experience in procurement of inbound raw material and out bound finished goods, contracts and service agreement negotiations, and project management. Mr. Witt also provides consultancy in steel and transportation industries. Prior he was Director of Corporate Transportation at Oregon Steel Mills, a firm producing specialty and commodity steel products for domestic and global markets. (This is me - Update Profile)
