Mr. Rocky Atwood

Council Member Biography

Rocky Atwood was a Senior Vice President and CTO for Amegy Bank, a commercial bank with $7.5 billion in assets from 1991–2006. Mr. Atwood was the manager of the technology strategy group and developed strategic plans for technology platforms at the enterprise and business unit level. He managed software development for the iSeries Jack Henry Silverlake banking application platform (Deposits, Loans, GL). Mr. Atwood was also managed the .Net software development team for web payment processing and the enterprise data warehouse product. He assisted with Jack Henry strategic planning as a User Advisory Board Member for eight years. Mr. Atwood was the merger/acquisition coordinator for six previous bank mergers including the technology system and bank operational conversions at those organizations. He periodically reviewed vendor products and/or had vendor relationships with Fidelity, AFS, Checkfree, Edify, Corporate Radar, Hyland Onbase, NCR, and Diebold as well as other financial services vendors.
