Council Member Biography

Robert Stambaugh, PhD, is Miller Anderson & Sherrerd Professor of Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His research interests lie primarily in investments and asset pricing, and he is the author of numerous articles in academic journals. He is the former Editor of the Journal of Finance, a former Editor of the Review of Financial Studies, and a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. Previously, he served as Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago, and he visited Harvard University as the Marvin Bower Fellow. His research awards include the Smith-Breeden prize for the best article published in the Journal of Finance as well as three Fama-DFA prizes for articles published in the Journal of Financial Economics. Dr. Stambaugh received his PhD in finance and econometrics from the University of Chicago. (This is me - Update Profile)
