Robert Scherer

Robert Scherer is the President of The Rockridge Group, an Illinois-based consulting firm specializing in the title insurance space. The Rockridge Group also gathers financial information from title insurers and compiles industry market share and financial data for the American Land Title Association. Mr. Scherer has over 46 years of experience in the title insurance industry. He spent 32 years with Chicago Title Insurance, including 10 years as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President. Since leaving Chicago Title in 1994, he has acted as interim Chief Executive Officer of a regional title insurer, performed valuations of title insurance and agent companies, provided analysis and testimony in litigations and rate hearings and assisted Chief Financial Officers and Chief Executive Officers with special projects of a financial or acquisition nature.
